How to contribute a page to the epiStoa calendar

A good epiStoa calendar page elucidates that Latin and/or Greek
- facilitate the comprehension of many terms and concepts
- are useful for studying most scientific fields.

If you wish to contribute a page to the next epiStoa calendar,
please follow the these steps:

1. Download
The easiest way to produce a calendar page is to download a template calendar page ; fill in title, figure, text end legends (in French, English, Italian, or German), and submit your proposal to administration@epistoa.eu

2. Title:
A typical title of a calendar page is a term known from everyday life but not really well understood without an ancient language background.

It should link a present-day term/notion/expression to its ancient linguistic roots, for example the presence of Latin and ancient Greek in commonly used terms in modern European languages or in the science terminology, specially physics, chemistry, medicine, laws, politics or economics.

3. Figure:
Find one or more telling, eye-catching, and beautiful images.
- The image(s) must be in the public-domain and not under any copy right restrictions
- Image resolution must be larger than 150 dpi and smaller than 300 dpi
- Image size as in the calendar pages of previous years

4. Text:
Add a short text (less than 500 characters) that explains the topic..

5. Legend:
Briefly indicate the Latin or Greek roots of the terms used.
Place these explanations in the legend rather than in the main text (see previous calendar pages for the adequate syntax)

6. Submission

Proposals may be submitted at any time to:  administration@epistoa.eu
Please do not care about the translations into the other languages.
The final versions of every calendar sheet will be streamlined by epiStoa.
Proposals that can not be accommodated this year, will automatically be shifted to the next year.
